About me...

Hi! I’m Luis, a lifelong animal lover and proud founder of Whistle & Willow.

I'm from Madrid, Spain and am settled here in Ancoats, Manchester with my partner, son and 2.5 year old Labrador Retriever, Ollie. I am a keen cyclist. I work in IT remotely at home for a few hours per day and am able to arrange my work around my dog walking services.

We are due to move shortly and will have the space and facilities to offer home boarding doggy day/night, holiday care from early 2026.

After using various care services for our Labrador, Ollie, I realised that truly personalised and attentive care isn’t always easy to find. That experience inspired me to create a service where every dog is treated as an individual — with patience, love and genuine attention to their needs.

My focus is on providing high-quality, reliable care where safety and detail matter. Whether it’s a daily walk or a comfortable stay in our family home, you can trust that your dog will be cared for as if they were my own.

Our home...

Our home is perfectly set up to give dogs the space and comfort they need. We can provide social time and gentle interaction with our friendly Labrador, Ollie, or offer your dog their own private area if they prefer quiet time or no interaction with another dog during their stay. Both our ground and lower ground floors have direct access to the garden, making it easy for your dog to explore safely and enjoy outdoor time. Since our family lives across both ground floors during the day, your dog will always have company, care and attention throughout their stay.
